Orlando does very much appreciate the support and loyalty of his fans. The by him set up Fan Mail Team has been replaced by an official agency to handle all the incoming mail due to the sheer volume of it. If you have written to his old address at ICM, please don't write again. That mail will be forwarded to the new agency. Now, with regards to the massive volume of incoming letters, a reply cannot be guaranteed. Otherwise Orlando would have a full-time job by answering all of the letters instead of providing us with great films. If you are requesting a photo, please enclose

• A clearly self-addressed envelope (minimum 22cm x 11cm or 8.5 x 4.5 inches). Don't forget to also write the country code and country name you come from. Examples:

  Please note that the various countries write their addresses differently as you can see in the two above examples. Write your address on the self-addressed envelope like your country does.



• Please enclose two International Reply Coupons if you are from outside the US. Go to your local post office and ask if they have IRC. They look like this:
  
  
  
  Why is it in French? The international postal language is French.
  
  Don't glue the Reply coupons onto the self-addressed envelope! With those coupons the agency can go to their postal office and exchange them into locally valid stamps. So you have the envelope addressed to Orlando in which you put the self-addressed envelope and the Reply coupons.
  
  Why can't I put stamps on the self-addressed envelope from the country I live in?
  You can compare it with the currency. If you live in the UK and you travel to the US you cannot pay anything with British Pound in a US store. You need to exchange the British Pound before into US Dollars. Same is valid for stamps. Stamps used in the UK are not valid for the American postal system. The Reply Coupons are an internationally used means to provide valid US stamps for the agency for which they don't have to pay. They are paid by you through buying the coupons.
  


• Patience is a virtue: Don't expect a reply within a couple of weeks. It can take up to 6 months or more before you receive anything.

A personal note: Fans often believe that all the mail is forwarded to a celebrity. Nope, it's not. If it were that case the celebrity wouldn't have time to do anything else than answering letters. What a pity if we wouldn't have more films with Orlando being released due to that. Most often an agency is put into place to help with the mail and only a small amount of letters are then directly forwarded. Those are the people that receive all kinds of possible and impossible comments, too. They work hard to ensure that as many people as possible are satisfied. Please consider this before you write your letter.
